What is Wildlife Rehabilitation?

Kissing bunnies.

Wildlife rehabilitation is the care of orphaned, ill, or injured wildlife by a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. The goal of the wildlife rehabilitator is to provide care and treatment for the animal so it can be released back into the wild. Wildlife rehabilitation is not a hobby; it is a commitment. Wildlife rehabilitators take care of animals on a volunteer basis only. They are not reimbursed for their time or money and cannot charge the public for the cost of wildlife rehabilitation.
